ABSTRACTS

 

Because of the prohibitive expense, the blue books of DIC meeting abstracts are no longer mailed. Instead, DIC members may obtain meeting abstracts by logging in at www.chemistry.org. One's division memberships will appear near the top-middle of the resulting webpage. The Inorganic Chemistry link displayed under “division membership” leads to a new webpage entitled “Inorganic Division Members Only.” The Abstract Separates link on this page leads to links providing PDF files of the complete DIC abstracts for several recent national meetings. The abstract link for an upcoming national meeting will appear on the site in advance of the meeting. These PDF files may of course be downloaded and/or printed. Many DIC members load the current abstract PDF file onto their laptops, which they bring to the meeting.

Because of glitches in the ACS website www.chemistry.org , the method above for obtaining the DIC abstracts has not worked reliably for all DIC members. The ACS division-support staff believes the problem has been resolved. However, to ensure that all DIC members have access to the current abstracts, the Secretary will email a direct abstract link to all DIC members in advance of each national meeting. Any member having difficulty obtaining the abstracts for current or prior recent meetings should contact the Secretary for assistance (Bill Buhro, buhro@wustl.edu ).
